TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
I can’t connect to
my message sign
on the website.
My message sign
stops working after
a few days.
I can’t see a map on
my device location.
My display is not
turning on.
If no connection:
• Go check the Crosstalk
located in the control cabinet.
• Conrm the Status light is
ashing and green.
• Attempt to get the status
again. Occasionally the
CrossTalk will not connect on
the rst attempt.
Message sign may not be
charging.
• Charge via the 110VAC on
board charger for 24hrs then
test solar following the next
steps:
• Check that the correct unit
is selected
• Check if receiving the
“Device GPS Information”
message with a check
mark when you hit Device
Location
If you can connect, but it will
not display:
• Manually turn the display
OFF and then ON under your
Control tab
Try connecting to the
message sign via the
website:
www.kkcrosstalk.com
Check the solar voltage
under the Status button
on the unit on the website.
During the day the voltage
should range between 15V
to 21V.
If yes:
• Check the url address bar
on your device to make sure
you’re not getting a Pop-Up
Blocker notication.

LED Panel displays
incorrect letters
• Locate the panel that is
displaying incorrectly. Verify
your units model number,
located on the bottom right of
the VIN tag.
(Example MB3L, MB14281 etc...)
• Locate the Dip Switch
Diagrams for your model
starting on page 58 of this
manual.

If antennas are on correctly:
• Pull the solar power wires, and
the battery wires.
Wait 10 sec, and reinstall.
Attempt to reconnect once
the status light is ashing
green.
If Status light is ashing red:
• Check that the antenna for
obstructions.
• Ensure antenna wires are
tight and secured.
If yes:
• Click the Pop-Up Blocker
icon to change browser
settings to allow Pop-Ups on
this website
If no change:
• Call K&K Systems for further
Assistance.
If no change:
• Call K&K Systems for further
Assistance.
If no change:
• Call K&K Systems for further
Assistance.
• Conrm that your dimming
is set to the below. Incorrect
dimming settings may cause
premature battery draining.
Dim Min: 1
Dim Max: 60
If no change:
• Call K&K Systems for further
Assistance.
If no change:
• Check the connection on
Output 4 on the CrossTalk.
• Ensure a good connection.
• 12V must be present at
Output 4 after a message is
sent.
If you have very low or no
solar voltage:
• Inspect your wires leading
to the solar panels. Check for
continuity between panels
and solar plug. Unplug solar,
check with a voltmeter,
conrm voltage is present and
positive, not negative.
• Check that the message
sign is in full sun for the
majority of the day.
• Check the batteries with a
load tester to conrm they
will hold a charge.
