Use the Seam Guides
Needle plate
Cornering guide
The seam gutdes on the needle plate are there to
help you measure seam w_dth. The lines are 1/8"
apart, w_th the 5/8" and 7/8" lines marked,
Turn a Square Corner
To turn a square corner 5/8" from the fabric edge:
t. Stop stitching and lower the needle by pressing the Up/Down Needle
Position button when the fabric edge facing you lines up with the
cornering guide, as shown,
2, Raise the presser foot and turn the fabric to line the edge with the 5/8"
seam guide.
3. Lower the presser foot and begin stitching in the new direction.
