Making Measurements
Using RCal Directly from the 89600 VSA

Connecting the RCal to the 89600 VSA Software
To integrate the U9361 RCal with the 89600 VSA, you will need the
89601200C license on the same PC where the VSA software is installed.
1. Open Keysight Connection Expert and add an instance of the RCal U9361
Receiver Calibration to the Keysight IO Library as a USB instrument
referenced in the VISA address.
2. Add a pointer to the RCal instance in the VSA hardware:
a. Select Utilities > Hardware > Configuration.
b. Select Discovered Instruments to find the RCal unit.
c. Select the Plus icon to open the New Hardware Configuration.
d. In the Possible Logical Instruments area, select the System
Calibrator entry and move it into the Configuration area.
