15. Open Inlet / Close By-pass
During the open inlet/close by-pass step, the inlet/by-pass valve switches
to the inlet position. During this step, the brine line is pressurized and the
cabinet/brine drum is refilled through both the nozzle and throat sides of
the venturi.
16. Service
Finally, the Solitaire valve goes back into service when the control valve
shuts and the check stem checks. The brine line is always pressurized.
