OWNERS Manual
C. Field Operation - Operator should:
a)
Achieve weight balance of Mega T by adding the manufacturer’s recommended ballast for the
attachment before starting operations.
b) Be careful not to over lift the rotary device during the operation in wet fields.
c) Ensure handles and grips are free of mud and grease before operation.
d) Don’t change gear or suddenly press one of the side clutches or brakes which can cause the Mega T
to swing to either side or lift upwards during operation. This may bring rotary device dangerously
close to the operator’s feet or cause him to lose control.
e) Maintain rubber fender plate at rear of rotor in good condition, as it protects the operator from
stones and mud thrown up by rotary blades.
f) See that rear float or depth wheel is in good condition and locked firmly in place before the start of
the operation. Sudden lift of wheel can cause accident to the operator.
g) Don’t take the Mega T in reverse when going up/down slope.
h) Ensure that control linkages are in good condition and control levers are operating smoothly before
start of operation.
j) Avoid using steering lever LH/RH and ensure disengagement of rotor when moving up or down slopes
or crossing bunds.
D. Travelling with Trailer - Operator should:
a) Check if trailer brakes are operating in satisfactory condition before starting.
b) Take care not to apply steering lever LH/RH while driving up or down a slope with trailer. This will
cause Mega T to swing in the opposite direction.
c) Turn trailer at low speed as the application of side turn at high speed can cause the Mega T to swing
around and operator to lose control.
d) Ensure that no other person is allowed to sit with him on the driving seat as he requires space to
maintain the Mega T during turning. No person shall be allowed to move or stand dangerously during
movement of the trailer;
e) Ensure that rated load of trailer is not exceeded.
f) Apply trailer brakes before applying the Mega T brakes
Note: Disengage the tiller tine drive, and raise the tines during transportation of Mega T.
E. Maintenance & Storage - Operator should:
a) Only use genuine spare parts/accessories approved by Mega T.
b) Check the engine oil, transmission oil, chain transmission oil, coolant level before use of the machine.
c) Check the tyre pressure.
d) Clear the work area of objects that might jam or wrap around the tines such as glass, large sticks,
stones, metal objects, wire, rope, and string-like materials.
e) Keep machine, attachment and accessories in safe working order.
