1.1 Introduction
The specification sheets for each generator set
provide specific generator and engine information.
Refer to the generator set specification sheet for
ratings and other data not supplied in this manual.
Consult the generator set installation manual, engine
operation manual, and engine service manual for
additional specifications.
Consult the generator set nameplate for specific
generator set ratings.
1.2 Controller Specifications
Model 6VSG generator sets are equipped with the
VSC controller. For a specific description of the
controller, see the generator set operation manual.

Generator sets covered in this manual are equipped
with four-cycle, twin cylinder, air-cooled Kohler
engines.
