PresstheOpenbuttontomovetoalowerlevel,or
presstheUpbuttontomovetoanupperlevel.
Dependingonhowyouwork,youmaywishtocreate
directoriesfordifferentprojects.Tocreateanew
directory,movetothelevelatwhichyouwanttocreate
thedirectory,andus
etheCreateDire
ctorymenu
commandontheDisk–Utilitypage.
5. OntheDisk–Savepage,pressthepagemenu
buttontoopenthepagemenu,andselecttheSave
Allcommand.
Thiscommandwillsaveasetof.PCG,.SNG,and.KSC
filesallatonce.
Adialogboxwillappear.
6. Pressthete
xteditbutton(“T”)andenteraname
forthefiles.
Allofthefileswillsharethesamename,withdifferent
suffixestoshowthedatatype(.PCG,.SNG,.KSC).
Note:IftheSongsincludeaudiotracks,theaudiodata
willbesavedasWAVEfiles.Thesearestoredina
directorynamedafte
rthe.SNGplus“_A”(forAudio)
attheend,inthesamedirectoryasthe.SNGfileitself.
7. PresseachSelectionbuttontonotetheitemsbeing
saved,suchastheindividualbanksofPrograms
andCombinations.
Youcanchoosetosaveonlysomeofthedata.Thisis
handy
,forinstance,whensavi
ngabankofsoundsto
sharewithothermusicians.Fornow,however,let’s
leavealloftheboxeschecked,sothatalloftheinternal
dataissaved.
8. PresstheOKbuttontoSavethedatatodisk.
Whenthesaveiscomplete,thesy
stemreturnstothe
Sa
vepage,andthedisplaywillshowtheresulting
file(s).Theamountoftimerequiredwilldependonthe
amountofdatabeingsaved.
IfthereareMultisamplesandSamplesinSampling
Mode,theywillbesavedtodiskas.KMPand.KSF
files,respectively.Directoriesforthesefileswillbe
cr
eatedautomatically
.
NOTE:WhensavingCombinations,remembertoalso
savetheProgramsituses,aswellasthe DrumKitsand
WaveSequencesusedbythePrograms.Similarly,
whensavingPrograms,remembertosavetheDrum
KitsandWaveSequencesusedbytheprograms.
WhenyouuseLoadPCGtolo
ada.PCGfile,the
identically‐named.KSCfilewillalsobeloadedsothat
thecorrectmultisamples/sampleswillcorrespond
automatically.
Loading data
Youcanloadtheentirecontentsofmemoryatonce,
includingsounddata(Programs,Combinations,etc.),
Songs,andsampledata.Todoso:
1. PresstheDISKbuttontoenterDiskmode.
2. PresstheFiletab,andthentheLoadtab,togoto
theDisk–Loadpage.
3. Optionally,PressDriveSelecttoselectthedrive
fromwhichtoload.
Theinternaldr
iveisthedefault.
4. Navigatetothedirectorythatcontainsthefileyou
wanttoload,andselectthe.SNGfile.
Selectadirectory(shownasafoldericon)andpress
theOpenbuttontomovetoalowerlevel,orpressthe
Upbuttontomovetoa
higherlevel.
Theselected.SNGfilewillbehighlighted.
5. PresstheredLoadbuttonatthebottomofthe
page.
(YoucanalsousetheLoadSelectedmenucommand.)
Adialogboxwillappear,containinganumberof
options.
6. Selectthe“Load[filename].PCGtoo”and“Load
[filename].KSCtoo”checkboxes.
Whentheseboxesar
echecked,thesystemlooksfor
.PCGand.KSCfileswiththesamenameasthemain
.SNGfile.
7. Set“.PCGContents”toAll.
Optionally,youcanloadonlysomeofthedatafrom
the.PCGfile.
8. Use“.SNGAllocation”tospecifyhowtheSongs
willbeloaded,andwhetherorno
texistin
gSongs
willbeerased.
AppendloadstheSongsintothefirstfreeSong
numbersfollowingthesong(s)whicharealreadyin
memory.
Clearwilleraseallsongsfrominternalmemory,and
loadtheSongsintotheexactnumbersfromwhichthey
weresaved.
