Turning the power on/o
The STAGEMAN 80 can use either an AC adapter or baeries.
Using the AC adapter
Use only the included AC adapter. You risk causing a
malfunction if you use any other AC adapter.
1. Make sure that the power of the STAGEMAN 80 is o.
Check that nothing is shown in the display, and that the
buons are unlit.
2. Connect the DC plug of the AC adapter to the DC19V
jack located on the rear panel.
Pay aention to the orientation of the jack when making
this connection.
3. Connect the plug of the AC adapter to an AC outlet.
Be sure to use an AC outlet of the correct voltage for the
adapter.
Using batteries
Baeries are not included. You must purchase them
separately.
1. Remove the baery cover from the rear panel.
2. Install six D baeries, either alkaline or nickel-metal
hydride, taking care that each baery is oriented in the
correct polarity as shown in the illustration.
3. In System mode, specify the type of baeries that you’re
using.
See page 25 “[M1] Baery type “ba””
If you switch to using a dierent type of baery, be sure
to specify the correct baery type in System mode.
Replacing the batteries
Replace the baeries when the power buon blinks.
As the baeries run low, you might hear noise or
interruptions in the sound.
Unusable baeries should be removed immediately. If
unusable baeries are left installed in the unit, they may
leak, causing malfunctions. You should also remove the
baeries if you don’t plan to use the unit for an extended
time.
Be sure to replace all six baeries together as a set. Do not
mix fresh baeries with used baeries in the same set.
Turning the power on
Note: If a device is connected to the AUX IN jack, turn its
power on before you continue.
Note: If you’re using an SD card, insert it into the SD card

cards”).
1. On the top panel, set the VOLUME knob to the
minimum level (far left).
2. On the top panel, hold down the power button for at

Turning the power o
Never turn o the power or disconnect the power cord
during recording, while data is being converted, or while
data is being wrien to the system.
Doing so may make the STAGEMAN 80 malfunction, or
damage the data on the SD card. If the data on the SD card
has been damaged, format the card.
1. If recording or playback is occurring, press the
[
] buon to stop.
2. Hold down the power buon for one second or longer
until the buon blinks.
After a time, the power buon and display indication will
go dark, and the STAGEMAN 80 will shut down.
Caution when turning the power o andon again!
To turn o the power of the STAGEMAN 80, you must press
the power buon located on the panel. (When you do this, the
STAGEMAN 80 saves its data.)
Wait at least ve seconds before turning the power on again.
Never disconnect the AC adapter or remove the baeries
while the power is on.
If it becomes impossible to turn on the power because
