Vector and Vector Envelope
56
Beats and multiply (“x”)
ese parameters are shown when Temp o is On. You can set the durations in beats (1/32 note to 2 breve) and a
multiplier (1…32).
Speed
[Tempo = O: 0.01…100.00]
[Tempo = On: 1/4…4x]
is speeds up or slows down the envelope as a whole.
When Tempo is O, you can vary this continually from 0.01 (1/100 of the original speed) to 100.00 (100 times the
original speed).
When Tempo is On, you can select tempo-locked ratios from 1/4 to 4x of the original Speed.
Loop
Loop
[0->3, 1->3, 2->3, 0<->3, 1<->3]
is selects the start and end points of the loop, and whether the loop is forwards only or forwards-backwards.
0->3, 1->3, and 2->3: ese loop forwards only. For instance, 1->3 makes the envelope play as follows: 0, 1, 2, 3, 1, 2, 3,
1, 2, 3 etc.
0<->3 and 1<->3: ese loop forwards-backwards. For instance, 1<->3 makes the envelope play as follows: 0, 1, 2, 3, 2,
1, 2, 3 etc.
(Loop) Repeats
[O, 1...126, Inf]
O: e Vector Envelope proceeds to point 3, stays there until the note is released, and then proceeds to the Release
point.
1-126: e Vector Envelope will loop the specied number of times, hold at point 3 until the note is released, and then
proceed to the Release point.
Inf: e Vector Envelope loops as long as the note is held, and then moves to the Release point when the note is released.
Vector Volume
Each point of the Vector Envelope has X and Y positions, from which the A, B, C, and D percentages are derived.
is read-only table shows the A/B/C/D volume values for each point as percentages of full volume. For a given point,
A, B, C, and D will always add up to 100; positions outside the diamond are clipped. e A/B/C/D values can’t be edited
directly; instead, use the graphic editor or the Position table.
Enable Volume
[O, On]
is enables and disables the direct control of volume by the Vector Joystick and Vector Envelope. When Enable
Volume is O, the Vector Joystick and Vector Envelope are still available as modulation sources.
Vector Volume Curve
[Loud, Smooth]
is controls how Vector Volume crossfades when you move the Vector Joystick, and between points on the Vector
Envelope. For maximum volume, use Loud (the original wavestate behavior); for more gentle crossfades, use Smooth
(the original Wavestation behavior).
