Main work
– Remove indicator lamp holder.
–
Open cable holder

on the left and detach the wiring har-
ness.

Remove screw

Remove screw

– Take off the upper triple clamp with the handlebar and place
to one side.
Info
Cover the components to protect them against damage.
Do not kink the cables and lines.

Remove O-ring

Remove protective ring

– Remove the lower triple clamp with the steering stem.
– Remove the upper steering head bearing.
11.10 Installing the lower triple clamp

Main work
– Clean the bearing and sealing elements, check for damage,
and grease.
High viscosity grease ( p. 128)
– Insert the lower triple clamp with the steering stem. Mount
upper steering head bearing.

Check whether upper steering head seal

is correctly posi-
tioned.
–
Slide on protective ring

and O-ring
