– Using a plastic hammer, tap lightly on the upper triple clamp
to avoid stresses.

Tighten screws

Secure the wiring harness with cable holder

– Mount indicator lamp holder.

– Position the brake line and the clamp. Mount and tighten
screws

Finishing work
– Mount the handlebar cushion.
– Install front fender. ( p. 51)
– Install the start number plate. ( p. 50)
– Install the front wheel. ( p. 85)
– Check that the wiring harness, throttle cables, and brake and
clutch lines can move freely and are routed correctly.
– Check steering head bearing play. ( p. 48)
– Remove the motorcycle from the lift stand. ( p. 42)
11.11 Checking steering head bearing play

If the vehicle is operated for a lengthy period with play in the steering head bearing, the bearings and the
bearing seats in the frame can become damaged over time.
Preparatory work
– Raise the motorcycle with a lift stand. ( p. 42)
