OnValuesets
thevalueoftheControllerwhentheswitchison.Inthecaseofconventionally
switchedfunctions,suchassustain,theOnValuewillbe127.(Forexample,thedefaultfor
Footswitch1isController64—Sustain—withanOnValueof127.)However,youmightwant
touse
abuttonorpedalasa“soft”switch,inwhichcaseyoumightsetOnControlto7(Volume)
andOnValueto50,andOffControlto7andOffValueto127.OnControlandOffControlcanalso
bothbesettoOff,sothatturning ontheswitchhasnoeffect
atallinthiszone.Thiscanbe
usefulwhenyouareusingoneswitchformultiplefunctionsindifferentzones.
OffValue
OffValueisthevalueofthe Controllerwhentheswitchisoff.Thedefaultvalueis0.Youmight
wanttochangethis,asinthe“softswitch”example
above:inordertobringthezoneuptofull
volumewhenyoureleasethepedal,setOffValueto127.
Entry (Ent) and Exit States
EntryStatedetermineswhetheraninitialsettingfortheswitchwillbesentwhenthesetupis
selected.Therearethreechoices:None(nochange),Off(theOffvalue),and
On(theOnvalue).
WithaPanelSwitchbutton,iftheEnt ry StateisOn,thebuttonwilllightassoonasyouselect
thesetup.
ExitStatesimilarlydetermineswhetherasettingfortheswitchwillbesentwhenyouleavethe
setup,eitherforanothersetuporfor
Programmode.Thesamethreechoices(On,Off,and
None)areavailable.Thisisveryusefulforturningoffsustainswhenchangingsetups.
