effectspages—willcalluptheChaineditor.FromtheProgrameditor,theprogram’sInsertand
AuxChainscanbeeditedfromthePROGFXandLYRFXpages.InSetup,Song,andEffectmode,
Chains
selectedforAuxoverridescanbeeditedfromtheAUXFX1andAUXFX2pages.
AChainismadeupofanumberofeffect‐boxes—ofwhichyoucanhaveupto16inaChain—
thateachhaveasingleeffectloaded.Thesettingsforalloftheparametersofeacheffect‐box
are
alsostoredwithintheChain.Thereare15ModControlsthatallowforreal‐time controlover
anyparameterfromanyeffect‐boxintheChain.PerChainControlsourcesarealsoprovidedto
beusedasinputstotheeffectMods(twoFXLFOs,twoFXASRs,andfour
FXFUNs.)Thesework
similarlytotheLFOs,ASRsandFUNsinProgrammode,butareonlyavailableforusewiththe
effectMods.

thelengthofaChainandselecttheindividualeffectsthatmakeuptheChain.TheChaineditor

Thereareatotalof
16unitsavailableforallofthe ChainsthatarecurrentlyloadedbyprogramsandanyactiveAux
overridesfromSetup/Song/Effectsmode.
NOTE:Insomeconfigurations,notall16unitsareavailableforusewithmulti‐uniteffectsbecauseofthe
waytheDSPisallocated.
LikeallotherrepresentationsofsignalpathsinthePC3Kdisplay,theprogramsignalmoves
fromlefttorightthroughtheChain.PressingtheInsertsoftbuttonaddsaneweffect‐boxtothe
Chaininthecurrentlyselectedblock‐slot,andpushesthecurrentlyselectedeffect‐boxdownthe
Chain
totheright.PressingtheRemovesoftbuttontakesthecurrentlyselectedeffectoutofthe
Chain.Theeffectloadedintotheselectedeffect‐boxcanbechangedbynumericentry,withthe
AlphaWheel,orwiththe+/–buttons;andcanbechangedwitheithertheeffect‐boxor
theEffect
fieldatthebottomofthepagehighlighted.The+/‐doublebuttonpress willjumptothenext
effect“category.”PressingtheEffectModebuttonwillmuteorunmutetheselectedeffectsbox.
