TheNextbuttonwillcausetheindexintothe listtojum p tothenextselectedobject,forwardin
thelist.Whentheendofthelistisreached,thesearchwillwraparoundfromthebeginning.If
youhavemorethanoneobjectselected,thenifyourepeatedlypressNext
youcaneasilycycle
throughallselecteditems.Iftherearenoitemsselected,thenthisbuttondoesn’tdoanything.
TheTypebuttonjumpstothenextobjectofadifferenttypefromtheonethatiscurrently
highlighted.Thisisaconvenientwaytofindaparticulartypeofobject
inthelist.
Whenyouarealldoneselectingobjectstoload,pressOK.Asstatedabove,ifonlyoneobjectis
tobeloaded,itisimplicitlyselectedifitisthecurrentlyhighlightedobjectandtherearenoother
selectedobjectsinthelist.
Cancelreturnstothefile
listdialog,highlightingthefileyoujustopened.Youcanloadthe
entirefileafterpressingCancelbypressingOKwhenyoureturntothefilelist.
Select All/Deselect All
Selectingordeselectingalloftheobjectsatoncecanbedonewiththesamedouble‐pressesas
describedforthefilelist
dialog,namely:
• Left/Rightcursordouble‐press:SelectAllObjects
• Up/Downcursordouble‐press:ClearAllSelections
Ifyouwanttoloadmostbutnotalloftheitemsfromafile(forexample,iftherehappenstobea
Mastertableinthefilethatyoudon’twanttoload),it
maybefastesttofirstselectallobjects
usingtheLeft/Rightdouble‐press,andthenmanuallydeselectanyunwanteditems.
Loading Methods
OnceyouhavepressedOKtodecideonwhatbanktouse,youwillseethisdialog:
Thesoftbuttonscontrolthemodeforloadingandrenum beringofobjectsfromthefile.Here’s
howtheywork:
OvFill FirstdeletesallRAMobjectsintheselect edbank,andthenloadsobjectsusing
consecutive
numbering.
Overwrt FirstdeletesallRAMobjectsintheselectedbank,andthenloadsobjectsusingthe
objectIDnumbersstoredinthefile.
Merge PreservetheobjectIDnumbersstoredinthefilefortheobjectstobeloaded,
overwriteobjectsalreadyinmemoryifnecessary.Forfilesthatdon’thaveID
numbers(.MID,.WAVand .AIFfiles,)MergebehavesthesameasFill.
Append TrytousetheobjectIDnumbersstoredinthefilefortheobjectstobe loaded.Ifan
IDnumberisalreadyinuse,incrementtheIDnumberuntilafreeslotisfound.For
