Real-time Controls in KB3 Mode
Youhavereal‐timecontrolovermanycomponentsofKB3programsdirectlyfromthefront
panel.Theslidersemulatethedrawbarsthataresoessentialtothetonewheelsound,whilethe
buttonsabovethem(they’recalledtheMutebuttons,becausetheynormallymuteandsolo
zonesinSetupmode)can
controltheKB3effects:Leslie,vibrato,chorus,andpercussion.
Whenyou’reinProgrammode,theMutebuttonsalwayscontrolKB3effects.Inasetup
containingaKB3program,ifyouwanttheMutebuttonstocontrolKB3effects,you’llhaveto
editthesetup,becauseinSetupmode,theMutebuttons
muteandunmutezonesbydefault.
1. GotoSetupmode,andselectthesetupyouwanttoedit.PressEdit.
2. PresseithermoresoftbuttonuntilyouseetheCOMMONsoftbutton.Pressit,andyour
displayshouldshowthefollowingscreen:

Playing KB3 Programs
Oneofthestandardperformancefeaturesofmanytonewheelorgansisthesetofdrawbarsfor
emulatingthestopsonapipeorgan.Movingthedrawbarscontrolstheamplitudeofeitherthe
fundamentalsortheharmonicsofthenotes(outtoincrease amplitude,intodecreaseit).
ThePC3K’ssliders
serveastheninedrawbarsfoundonmosttonewheelorgans.Pushingthe
slidersupistheequivalentofpushingthedrawbarsin(removingfundamentalsorharmonics).
KB3 Mode Buttons (Mute Buttons)
WhentheMutebuttonsareenabledforKB3control,theirLEDsindicatethestatusofthe
variouseffectsforthecurrentKB3program.Thisstatusissavedaspartofeachprogram.You
canchangetheeffectsinrealtimebypressingthebuttons(orbysendingtheappropriateMIDI
Controller
valuesfromyourMIDIcontroller).
