PressingPlyOldwillplaythecurrentsong,minustheperformancethatyoujustrecorded.You
cantogglebetweenPlayOldandPlayNewwithoutrestartingthesongbypressingeither
buttonwhilethesongisplaying.Thisisusefultocheckifyourlastperformancewasbetteror
worsethanwhat
waspreviouslysaved(ifanythingwaspreviouslysaved.)
TheLocatefieldallowsyouchooseastarttimefortheoldornewplayback.Thisisusefulwhen
youjustwanttohearacertainpartofthesongwithoutlisteningtothewholething.ThePlaying
fielddisplayswhethertoNEW
orOLDdataisplaying.
StophaltstheplaybackofeithertheOldortheNewversionofthesongyouarecurrently
auditioning.Thisalsoresetsthesong’sstartlocationtoeitherthedefaultBar1,Beat1value,or
towhateverlocationyoudefinedintheLocatefield.
Pressing
Retryrestartsrecordingfromthesamepoint youlaststartedrecordingat.
Yessavesthesongwiththeperformanceyoujustrecorded.Whateverwasplayedbackwhen
youpressedPlayNewwillbetheversionofthesongsavedwhenyoupressYes.The“saveas”
dialogwillbedisplayed:
Usethe
AlphaWheel,/+buttons,orAlphanumericPadtochooseafreeID#locationtosavethe
song,orchooseausedID#locationtooverwriteapreviouslysavedsongwithyournewversion.
Whenoverwritingasongfile,the“saveas”dialogdisplays“Replace”followedbythenameof
the
filebeingreplaced.PressRenameifyouwouldliketochangethesong’sname.PressSaveto
savethesong,orCanceltoreturntothepreviousscreen.
Ifyoudecidenottosaveorrename,NoreturnsyoutotheSongmodepageinwhichyouwere
lastrecording.Changes
tothecurrentsongarenotsaved,thoughthesequencerwillremember
changestocertainsettingsfromtheMAINandBIGpages.ThesesettingsareTempo,Merge/
EraseMode,Locate,trackmutestatus,TimeIn,TimeOut,SongEnd,Loop,Punch,andMetron.
Topermanentlysavethesechangeswiththesong,
makesuretochooseSavefromthesoft
buttonmenubeforepoweringofforloadinganewsong.Alternatively,youwillbepromptedto
savethesechangesuponloadinganewsongiftheMAINpagesettingswerechangedwhile
recordingorwithrecordingarmed,orifanyoftheBIG
pagesettingswerechanged.
