Troubleshooting chart
1. Fuel
2. Compression
3. Ignition
4. Battery
Remove the fuel
hose from the
fuel cock.
Turn the fuel
cock to "OFF".
Turn the fuel
cock to "RES".
Check if there is
fuel in the fuel
tank.
Remove plug and
check electrode.
Wipe clean with dry
cloth.
Attach plug cap and
ground to chassis.
Use electric
starter.
Use electric
starter.
Engine turns
over quickly.
Engine turns
over slowly.
Check fluid, recharge,
check connections.
Use electric starter
to see if there is
compression.
Water or dirt
mixed in fuel.
Turn the fuel
cock to "ON".
Clean filter element
and fuel tank.
Check fuel flow.
There is fuel.
Some fuel.
No fuel.
There is compression.
No compression.
Compression normal.
Battery good.
Wet
Dry
Ask a KYMCO dealer to inspect.
Adjust plug gap or
replace plug.
Spark good.
Ignition system normal.
Spark weak.
No spark.
Ask a KYMCO dealer to inspect.
Supply fuel.
Restart engine.
No fuel.
