Why is my KYMCO Offroad Vehicle engine hard to start?
    • A
      alexisblairAug 3, 2025
If your KYMCO Offroad Vehicle engine is hard to start, it might be due to a clogged fuel system. The fuel line between the fuel tank and carburetor, the float oil passage, the fuel tank cap breather hole, the fuel filter, or the fuel valve passage could be clogged. Check if fuel reaches the carburetor by loosening the drain screw to diagnose these issues. Also, test cylinder compression.

How to troubleshoot starting issues with my KYMCO Offroad Vehicle?
    • R
      Ryan GarrettAug 12, 2025
If your KYMCO Offroad Vehicle engine won't start, begin by checking the fuel supply. Make sure the fuel tank isn't empty and that fuel is actually reaching the carburetor. You can check this by loosening the drain screw. Also, a faulty or fouled spark plug could be the culprit. Remove the spark plug, install it in the spark plug cap, and check for a spark by connecting it to the engine ground. Other potential causes include a faulty CDI unit or change gear control unit, which would also require checking for a spark.

Why does my KYMCO Offroad Vehicle engine not fire?
    • D
      Diana SullivanAug 22, 2025
If the engine of your KYMCO Offroad Vehicle does not fire, several factors could be responsible. A leaking intake manifold, incorrect ignition timing, or an incorrectly adjusted air screw might be the cause. Try starting the engine by following the normal starting procedure. Alternatively, a flooded carburetor, a wet spark plug, a clogged air cleaner, or a throttle valve that is excessively open could also prevent the engine from firing. Remove the spark plug and inspect it again.
