It is probable that your machine will be delivered by a third party. Before you unpack your new
machine, you will need to first inspect the packing, invoice and shipping documents supplied
by the driver.
Ensure that there is no visible damage to the packaging or the machine. You need to do this
prior to the driver leaving. All damage must be noted on the delivery documents and signed
by you and the delivery driver. You must then report the damage to the seller within 24 hours.
SAFETY GUIDELINES - DEFINITIONS
This manual contains information that is important for you to know and understand. This information
relates to protecting YOUR SAFETY and PREVENTING EQUIPMENT PROBLEMS. To help you recognize
this information, we use the symbols below. Please read the manual and pay attention to these
sections.
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious injury.
Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
(Used without the safety alert symbol) indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result in
property damage.
Receiving your machine
Some dust created by power sanding, sawing, grinding, drilling, and other construction activities contain chemicals
known to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm. Some examples of these chemicals are:
Lead from lead-based paint.
Crystalline silica from bricks, cement, and other masonry products.
Arsenic and chromium from chemically treated lumber.
Your risk of exposure varies, depending on how often you do this type of work. To reduce your exposure to these
chemicals, work in a well-ventilated area and work with approved safety equipment, such as face or dust masks
that are specifically designed to lter out microscopic particles.
