calibration with test gas C has the advantage of determining and compensating the
long term drift of sensitivity. The sensitivity of the CO/H
2
electrode usually increases over time
 safe direction!
NOTICE
With KS1D HT (order no. 656R2015), the test gas to be tested/calibrated can be connected
directly at the hose connection for calibration gas. A special testing device is not necessary.
The required test gas quantity lies between 40 ... 60 l/h.

Should the deviation of oxygen value be more than 0.2 vol.%, the probe
must be calibrated according to the manual.

vol.%, the probe is fine.
Should the deviation of oxygen value be more than 0.1 vol.%, the probe

If the probe reacts to an increase in probe voltage on test gas C, then the
probe is fine. If the probe does not react, it has to be changed.
Compare CO value of the probe and CO
e
-value of test gas C.
If CO
e
value of the probe lies between 275 … 375 ppm, the estimation of
CO
e
value is fine. Otherwise, calibrate a more precise estimation of the
probe according to the manual. calibrate on 300 ppm.
