Question: How do I delete an audio fi le from my Library?
Answer: You cannot delete audio fi les from your Library once you’ve downloaded
them. You can remove them from your TAG™ Reader, but they will always
remain in your Library for future use.
REWARDS
Question: When I try to see my child’s rewards or help my child collect rewards, it
tells us “Rewards Coming Soon.”
Answer: Rewards are on their way and will be available beginning June 24. In the
meantime, encourage your child to keep playing with the TAG Reader and
connect the device often to the LEAPFROG® Connect Application so that
all of your child’s earned rewards are saved and ready for upload once the
Rewards feature is fully functional. Once Rewards become available, you
will be able to see all that your child has earned. In the meantime, take a
sneak peek at the sample rewards.
Question: How are rewards earned?
Answer: Your child earns rewards as he/she completes activities and levels while
reading and playing with the TAG Reader in conjunction with the TAG
collection of books and games. Your child will hear audio on the TAG
Reader announcing a newly-earned reward.
Question: Can my child or I print rewards more than once?
Answer: Yes, once your child has earned rewards, the rewards can be printed as
many times as desired.
Question: My child and I cannot access the Rewards page.
Answer: The Rewards page is a web page within the LEAPFROG Connect
Application, therefore, you will need an Internet connection to access
the page. You will also need Adobe Flash Player version 8 or later. You
should be notifi ed if you are missing the application and be directed
to http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_
Version=ShockwaveFlash to download the latest Flash Player and install it
on your computer.
Also, in order to access rewards, you must fi rst create a LEAPFROG
account, enter a child footprint, and link the TAG player profi le to
that footprint. This can only be done through the Parents view of the
LEAPFROG Connect Application. When completed, connect the TAG
Reader to your computer and you and your child will be able to see the
Rewards page.
Question: The rewards for my child’s TAG player profi le are not current.
Answer: Be sure to connect your child’s TAG Reader to the computer regularly
so that play data can be uploaded and the rewards data can be updated.
Our systems are updated regularly but there could be a delay and not all
rewards may be displayed immediately upon connection.
Question: I have connected to the Rewards page but all of the rewards are grayed out.
Answer: This means your child has not yet earned these rewards. First, your child
needs to earn the rewards by completing activities and levels in the TAG
books and games. Then, after you connect the device to your computer, the
rewards your child has earned will be available. It may take up to 24 hours
for rewards to appear.
Question: While reading a TAG book, my child’s TAG Reader said he/she had earned
new rewards, but when I checked in the Rewards page, there were no new
rewards displayed.
Answer: Once your child has earned new rewards, you need to connect your child’s
TAG Reader to the computer to upload your new play data.
Question: When I try to select a TAG book to see what rewards my child would be
given, I get a message saying I do not have that book.
Answer: You can only see rewards for the TAG books your child has read and for
which play data has been uploaded.
Question: My child earned rewards from reading a TAG book but we did not access
them before I removed that book from the TAG Reader. Can we still access
those rewards?
Answer: Yes, a record of the rewards your child earned is stored on the TAG Reader,
independent of moving the audio fi le on or off of the device. The earned
reward should be recognized the next time you connect the TAG Reader to
your computer.
Question: I need to reset my TAG Reader using the Reset button within Settings but I
have earned rewards already. Will these rewards be lost?
Answer: The reset button within Settings will not affect play data or any rewards
that are waiting to be uploaded from the TAG Reader to the computer. You
will not lose any earned rewards.
Question: My child has played the games on his/her TAG book more than once. Can my
child get new rewards each time he/she plays the same games in the book?
Answer: No, there is only one reward for each level of achievement, no matter how
many times your child plays.
Question: The application tells me to connect my child’s device often to make sure
rewards and the LEAPFROG Learning Path are always up-to-date. How
often do we need to connect so that the rewards earned and the Learning
Path data aren’t lost?
Answer: As your child plays with the TAG Reader, the device keeps track of rewards
and successes in each activity. Each time you subsequently connect your
child’s TAG Reader to the LEAPFROG Connect Application, those rewards
and the Learning Path data are uploaded to the computer. The TAG Reader
can store approximately 10 hours worth of play data before the data is lost.
