FUEL CROSSFLOW (WING-TO-WING FUEL TRANSFER)

Do
not crossflow with jet pump inoperative. Engine
starvation may occur due to
fuel
being pumped through
open
cross
flow
valve into opposite wing.
1.
CROSSFLOW Switch - OPEN.
2. STANDBY
PUMP
Switch (heavy
wing)
- ON.
3. STANDBY
PUMP
Switch (light
wing)
- Off.
4. CROSSFLOW Switch - CLOSE after
fuel
balance
is
obtained.
5.
STANDBY
PUMP
Switches - Off.
6. If the preceding procedure
fails
to balance
fuel,
unequal power set-
tings may
be
used
to
balance
fuel
load.
