BEFORE TAXI
After start, do not turn on air conditioner or auxiliary
heater until one of the following conditions are met.
1.
Each ammeter reads below 250 amps with both en-
gines operating.
2.-
On aircraft 35-067 thru 35-147
and
36-018 thru
36-035, one ammeter reads below 200 amps with
one engine operating.
On aircraft 35-148
and
subsequent
and
36-036
and
subsequent, one ammeter reads below 150
amps with one engine operating.
1.
Avionics - Set as desired.
2.
Radar - Standby.
3. Circuit Breakers - Check, in.
4. Coffee/Oven Switches
(if
installed) -
As
required.
5. Fuel Control Governor Check:
a. Left Thrust Lever -
IDLE.
'CAUTION
I~
If the engine accelerates uncontrolled during the
follow-
ing step, set FUEL CMPTR switch
On
until engine sta-
bilizes at idle. Shut down engine and determine and
correct cause prior
to
flight.
b.
L FUEL CMPTR Switch -
OFF.
Note L FUEL CMPTR light
illuminated (engine
RPM
may increase or decrease
slightly).
'CAUTION

If turbine speed does not respond during the following
·
·r
steps, shut down engine and determine and correct
cause prior to
flight.
c.
Once
RPM
stabilizes, gradually advance thrust lever until an
increase in Turbine Speed
(N2)
is observed.
d.
Retard thrust lever and note decrease
in
Turbine Speed
(N2).
e. If Turbine Speed responds
to
thrust lever changes, L
FUEL
CMPTR switch
On
and note that L
FUEL
CMPTR light
is
out.
f.
Repeat steps a. thru e. using R FUEL CMPTR switch and right
thrust
lever.
6. Purge Windshield Heat system of possible moisture accumulation
(first
flight
of
day and
if
exposed to moisture):
-Aircraft
35-067 thru 35-112

35-107, 36-018 thru
36-031:

Pull
out.

Switch - AUTO until water has
cleared.
