INVERTER FAILURE — PARTIAL AC POWER LOSS
An inverter system failure is indicated by illumination of the PRI INV, SEC
INV, and/or AUX INV (if installed) lights. An INV light will illuminate when-
ever the associated inverter is on and voltage and/or current flow on the
corresponding AC bus falls below a minimum value. The most likely cause
is either an inverter failure or open AC BUS circuit breaker. The PRI and
SEC INV lights will also illuminate whenever the BATTERY switches are on
and the respective INVERTER switch is OFF.
FAILURE OF PRI OR SEC INVERTER SYSTEM
1. INV (main power bus) and AC BUS (ac bus) Circuit Breakers
Check and reset.
Allow approximately one minute cooling time before re-
setting either INV circuit breaker.
2. Failed INVERTER Switch — OFF, then On.
3. Failed INV Circuit BreakerPull, then reset.
If malfunction does not clear:
4. Failed INVERTER Switch — OFF.
5. Corresponding AC BUS Circuit Breaker Pull.
6. AC BUS TIE Circuit Breaker (copilot’s panel) — Check and reset. If
it opens after resetting, leave it open.
If only one inverter is operational, reduce load on both
AC buses. Both AC buses will be powered by the oper-
ating inverter providing the AC BUS TIE circuit breaker
is closed.
7. AUX INVERTER Bus Switch (if installed) — Select failed bus (L or R
BUS).
Malfunction of the auxiliary inverter system, after being
connected to the failed AC bus, indicates a fault on the
AC bus.
