PASS SPKR-VOL ADJ-OFF Switch - This
is
a three position
switch and
is
used
only when an ADF switch
is
set
to
PASS
posi-
tion; otherwise the switch should be in the
OFF position.
a.
VOL ADJ position
is
used
to monitor ADF audio over the
cockpit speaker for adjustment with the PASS SPKR VOL con-
trol.
b.
PASS SPKR position transfers ADF audio from the cockpit
speaker
to
passenger speaker
and
mutes ADF "mixer" audio
to
the cockpit speaker.
MICROPHONE FUNCTION SELECTOR
The
Microphone Function Selector
is
a five-position rotary-type switch and
is labeled VHF 1 and
2,
HF,
INPH,
and PASS SPKR. This switch provides
the
proper microphone audio inputs for the
five
functions.
1. VHF 1, VHF 2, and HF Positions - When any of these positions
are selected, microphone inputs are provided for the
respective
transceiver.
2.
INPH Position - When this position
is
selected
on
one
AUDIO
CONTROL Panel, interphone
is
provided.
If
the opposite
Micro-
phone Function Selector
is
in the VHF 1 or 2,
HF,
or
INPH posi-
tion, audio
will
be provided to the opposite speaker
and
headphones. If the opposite Microphone Function Selector
is
in the
PASS SPKR position, headphone audio only will
be
provided.
3.
PASS SPKR Position - When this position
is
selected,
the
pilot or
copilot, utilizing this function, may speak
to
the passengers through
the passenger speaker.
If ADF
is
being transmitted through the pas-
senger speaker, it
will
automatically be disconnected when the
Microphone Function Selector is in the
PASS
SPKR position. When
the passenger speaker
is
in use, aural warning
is
automatically
transferred to
the
cockpit speaker and not transmitted to the
passengers.
