3. OPERATION
3.1 Connect the Lotus to the Tractor
1. Make sure the tractor is aligned with the Lotus.
2.
If necessary, remove the parking jack from the storage support and
install it to the Lotus drawbar.
3. Turn the winding handle of the parking jack either clockwise or
counterclockwise to adjust the height of the Lotus until the towing eye
is at the same height as the tractor drawbar.
4. Install the Lotus towing eye to the tractor drawbar.
5. Install a correct linkage pin to the coupling system to connect the Lotus
to the tractor.
6. Turn the winding handle of the parking jack counterclockwise to move
the parking jack to the top position.
7. Turn the handle at rear of the parking jack counterclockwise to unlock
it.
8. Remove the parking jack from the Lotus drawbar and install it to the
storage support.
9. Turn the handle at the rear of the parking jack clockwise until it is locked.
10. Remove the wheel wedges and attach them to the support at the front
safety guard.
11. Make sure the primary PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
The first time you connect the Lotus to each tractor, refer to the instructions
supplied with the PTO shaft and make sure the minimum and maximum
overlap of the two parts of the PTO shaft is correct.
Always connect the safety chain of the PTO shaft to a rigid part of the
tractor.
12. Make sure the Lotus PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
13. Connect the Lotus PTO shaft to the tractor PTO shaft.
The maximum pressure of the tractor hydraulic system must not be more
than 21.0 MPa (210 bar).
14. Remove the dust caps from the two hydraulic hoses.
15. Connect the two hydraulic hoses to the double-acting hydraulic valve on
the tractor.
16. Connect the lighting electrical cable to the correct socket on the tractor.
17. Make sure all the lights on the Lotus operate correctly.
