3.3 Move the Lotus from the Transport Position to the Working
Position
Make sure there are no persons in the area when you move the Lotus to
the headland position.
Make
sure the safety guards are moved to the bottom position. Safety guards
in top position cause damage to the Lotus when moving from transport position
to the working position.
1. On both sides of the Lotus, move the safety guard to the bottom
position (fig. 6, page 3-4).
2. Make sure all rotor wheel assemblies are set to the same position (page
4-4).
3. Operate the tractor hydraulics system to move the two outer rotor
segments upwards until they are completely upright (A) (fig. 7, page
3-5).
4. Make sure the locking hooks have disengaged.
5. Operate the tractor hydraulic system to lower the two outer rotor
segments to the ground (B) (fig. 7, page 3-5).
6. Set the hydraulic valve in the tractor to the floating position. The rotors
move downwards (C) (fig. 7, page 3-5).
7. Move the tines of the two center rotors to position A (page 4-1).
