4.3 Adjust the rotor angle
Procedure
1.
Make sure:
a.
The Lotus is connected to the tractor (see "Connect to the
Tractor" on page 3‑3).
b. The Lotus is in the working position (see "Move the Lotus from
the transport position to the working position" on page 3‑7).
c. The hydraulic system is set to the floating position.
d. The rotor wheels are set to the required position (page 4‑2).
Make sure the height adjustment of the tines is not too low. This results in an
excessive load and causes the tines to wear or break.
2. Use the top link of the headstock to change the rotor angle.
3. Make sure the tines slightly touch the ground and the crop is picked
correctly. The tines must touch the ground over a distance of
approximately 25 cm (9.8 in) (Figure 25, page 4‑4).
