2 MOUNTING BEHIND THE TRACTOR
- Adjust the tractor lever arms at equal height.
- Fit the lever arms to the linkage pins (Cat. II) of the
headstock.
- Lift the headstock so far that the position of the drawbar is
horizontal.
- Pull up the parking jack (fig. 3).
- Secure the tractor’s lever arms by means of stabilisation
chains or rods eliminating any side sway of the headstock.
- Check if the PTO shaft telescopes smoothly.
- Fit the PTO shaft to the tractor PTO shaft.
At first assembly or use of another tractor: check the
minimum and maximum overlap of the PTO halves

- Fit the safety chain of the protection tube to a rigid part of
the tractor.
• Leave the PTO shaft in the catch hook if the safety
shields have been removed from the machine’s sides for
transport purposes.
• The PTO shaft is only allowed to be fitted to the PTO if
the two safety shields (fig. 8) are fitted to the sides of the
machine.
- Connect the two hydraulic hoses of the ram for drawbar
adjustment to a double acting hydraulic spool valve on the
tractor.
- Connect the hydraulic hose (and valve) of the wheel adjust-
ment rams to a single acting spool valve on the tractor.
- Connect the hydraulic hose of the mower conditioner’s lift
ram to a single acting spool valve which has a floating
position.
