B MOVING THE CONDITIONING ROTOR
TO THE REAR
If the conditioner tends to get frequently clogged when
working in long crops it is advisable to move the rotor to the
rear as follows.
- Remove the tension from the V-belts and dismount them
from the drive.
- Dismount the bolts (A, fig. B-1) which fix the bearing
blocks of the conditioner rotor to the frame.
- Fix the bearing blocks, and thus the conditioner rotor, in
the rearmost position.
- Displace the stop bolts (B, fig. B-1) of the crop inlet plate
to the rearmost hole.
- Untighten the bolts of the sliding strips (C, fig. B-1).
- Slide the strips entirely to the rear ensuring the rearmost
position of the crop inlet plate.
- Tighten all bolts and nuts properly.
- Mount the longer V-belts. Adjust belt tension in such a way
that, if a 70 N force is exerted on the middle, the V-belt is
pushed in 10 mm (fig. B-2).
