B Tightening torques screws
B.1 Bolted connections, general principles
The following tightening torques refer to screw connections not spe‐
cically mentioned in these mounting instructions. Special tightening
torques are indicated in the text.
n Identify screw connection:
– Identication on the screw head
– Parts list of the mounting set
– Spare parts list
► Tighten screw connections with a torque wrench.
n Self-locking nuts that have been loosened
– Replace with new self-locking nuts.
– Use a high-strength locking compound.
Bonded screws that have been loosened MUST be bonded again
during mounting:
WARNING
Components can fail suddenly otherwise.
1. Clean screws of grease and bonding residues.
2. Fill threads of screws with the locking compound supplied with the
mounting set.
3. Tighten screws with a torque wrench.
4. Leave the bonded connection to harden for 24 hours.
