TostartThinkPadSetup,dothefollowing:
1.Toprotectyourselfagainstaccidentallossofdata,backupyourcomputerregistry.See“Performing
backupandrecoveryoperations”onpage64.
2.Ifthediskettedriveisconnectedtothecomputer,removeanydiskettefromthediskettedrive,and
thenturnoffthecomputer.
3.Turnonthecomputer.Whenthelogoscreenisdisplayed,presstheF1key.TheThinkPadSetup
programmainmenuopens.
Ifyouhavesetasupervisorpassword,theThinkPadSetupprogrammainmenuwillbedisplayed
afteryouenterthepassword.YoucanstartThinkPadSetupbypressingEnterinsteadofenteringthe
supervisorpassword.However,youcannotchangetheparametersthatareprotectedbythesupervisor
