ActiveProtectionSystem
TheActiveProtectionSystemprogramprotectsyourharddiskdrivewhentheshocksensorinsideyour
computerdetectsaconditionthatcoulddamagethedrive,suchassystemtilt,excessivevibration,orshock.
Theharddiskdriveislessvulnerabletodamagewhenitisnotoperating.Thisisbecausewhentheharddisk
driveisnotoperating,thesystemstopsitfromspinning,andmayalsomovethereadandwriteheadsofthe
drivetoareasthatdonotcontaindata.Assoonastheshocksensorsensesthattheenvironmentisstable
again(minimalchangeinsystemtilt,vibration,orshock),itturnstheharddiskdriveon.

FingerprintSoftware
Ifyoursystemcomeswithangerprintreader,theFingerprintSoftwareprogramenablesyoutoenrollyour
ngerprintandassociateitwithyourWindows

password.Asaresult,thengerprintauthenticationcan
replaceyourpasswordandenablesimpleandsecureuseraccess.
