1.Turnoffyourcomputer.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keywhenturningonthecomputer.WhentheStartupDevice
Menuopens,releasetheF12key.
3.OntheStartupDeviceMenu,selectthedesiredopticaldriveastherstbootdevice.Then,insert
therescuediscintotheopticaldriveandpressEnter.Therescuemediumstarts.
•IfyouhavecreatedarescuemediumusingaUSBharddiskdrive,usethefollowinginstructionsto
usetherescuemedium:
1.AttachtheUSBharddiskdrivetooneoftheUSBconnectorsonyourcomputer.
2.RepeatedlypressandreleasetheF12keywhenturningonthecomputer.WhentheStartupDevice
Menuopens,releasetheF12key.
3.OntheStartupDeviceMenu,selecttheUSBharddiskdriveastherstbootdeviceandpressEnter.
Therescuemediumstarts.
•Ifyouhavecreatedarescuemediumusingthesecondaryinternalharddiskdrive,setthesecondary
internalharddiskdriveastherstbootdeviceinthestartupdevicesequencetostarttherescuemedium.

Reinstallingpreinstalledapplications
Toreinstallselectedapplicationprograms,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonyourcomputer.
2.GototheC:\SWTOOLSdirectory.
3.OpentheAPPSfolder.Initareseveralsubfoldersnamedforthevariouspreinstalledapplications.
4.Openthesubfolderfortheapplicationyouarereinstalling.
5.Double-clickSetup,andthenfollowtheinstructionsonthescreentocompletetheinstallation.
Reinstallingpreinstalleddevicedrivers
Attention:Whenyoureinstalldevicedrivers,youarechangingthecurrentcongurationofyourcomputer.
Reinstalldevicedriversonlywhenitisnecessarytocorrectaproblemwithyourcomputer.
Toreinstallthedevicedriverforafactory-installeddevice,dothefollowing:
1.Turnonyourcomputer.
2.GototheC:\SWTOOLSdirectory.
3.OpentheDRIVERSfolder.WithintheDRIVERSfolderareseveralsubfoldersnamedforthevarious
devicesinstalledinyourcomputer(forexample,AUDIOandVIDEO).
4.Openthesubfolderforthedevice.
5.Reinstallthedevicedriverbydoingoneofthefollowing:
•Inthesubfolderforthedevice,lookforatextle(alewiththeextension.txt).Thetextlecontains
informationonhowtoreinstallthatdevicedriver.
