1.CopythedriverfortheEthernetcardfromtheThinkServerEasyStartupDVDthatcomeswithyourserver
toaUSBstoragedevice.ConnecttheUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
2.Ifthedriverisacompressedfile,unzipittoafolder.CopythefoldertoaUSBstoragedeviceand
connecttheUSBstoragedevicetoyourserver.
3.LogintotheoperatingsystemandcopythefolderfromtheUSBstoragedevicetothe/tmpdirectory
onyourserver.
4.Usethefollowingcommandstoinstallthedriver:
cd/tmp
tarzxvfe1000e-x.x.x.x.tar.gz
cde1000e-x.x.x.x/src
makeinstall

•Ifthefileextensionisnot.tar.gz,skipthesecondcommand.
•Inthecommandlines,e1000erepresentsthedrivername,x.x.x.xrepresentsthedriverversion.
5.Restartyourserveraftertheinstallationiscompleted.
6.ClickSystemontheupper-leftcornertoconfigurenetworksettings.
7.SelectNetworkConnectionsinthePreferencesarea.
8.Inthenetworksettingswindow,chooseanEthernetcardasyouneedandclickEdit.
9.ClickIpv4Settings.
10.SelectManualfromtheMethoddrop-downlist,andconfiguretheIPaddressintheAddressarea.
Then,clickApply.
11.ConfigureotherEthernetcardsifneeded.Then,restartyouroperatingsystem.
