ToinstalltheMicrosoftWindows7ProfessionalEdition(x64)withServicePack1,dothefollowing:
1.Inserttheoperatingsysteminstallationdiscintotheopticaldrivethatyouhavesetasthefirststartup
device.ConnecttheUSBstoragedevicethatcontainsthedriverfortheonboardSATAsoftwareRAIDor
installedRAIDcardtoyourserver.Then,starttheserverfromtheopticaldrive.
2.IfthemessagePressanykeytobootfromcdisdisplayed,pressanykey.IfthemessageWindowsSetup
[EMSEnabled]isdisplayed,pressEnter.Waitseveralminutesforthesystemtoloadthefiles.
3.IftheWindows7installationwindowisdisplayed,configurethelanguageandotheroptionsasyouneed
andthenclickNext.
4.Ifprompted,clickInstallnow.
5.ReadthelicensetermsandselectIacceptthelicenseterms.Then,clickNext.
6.Ifprompted,selectthetypeofinstallationasyouneed.Thefollowingstepsarebasedonthescenario
thatCustom(Advanced)isselectedinthisstep.
7.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,clickLoadDriver.
8.WhentheLoadDriverwindowisdisplayed,browsetothefolderwherethedriverisstored,andclick
OK.The“Selectthedrivertoinstall”windowisdisplayed
9.SelectHidedriversthatarenotcompatiblewithhardwareonthiscomputer.Then,clickNext.
10.Inthe“WheredoyouwanttoinstallWindows?”window,clickDriveoptions(advanced).
11.Selecttheharddiskdriveonwhichyouwanttoinstalltheoperatingsystem,andthenclickNew.
12.Typetheamountofspace(inMB),andthenclickApply.
13.WhentheInstallWindowsdialogboxisdisplayed,clickOK➙Next.Theinstallationbegins.
Note:Y ourserverwillrestartseveraltimesduringtheinstallation.
14.Typeyourusernameandpasswordwhenprompted.
Note:Thepasswordmustconsistofuppercaseletters,lowercaseletters,anddigits.
15.Ifthe“TypeyourWindowsproductkey”windowisdisplayed,typeyourproductkey,deselect
AutomaticallyactivateWindowswhenIamonline,andthenclickNext.Theproductkeyinformation
isavailableontheMicrosoftCertificateofAuthenticitylabelorproductpackaging.
16.Ifthe“HelpprotectyourcomputerandimproveWindowsautomatically”windowisdisplayed,clickAsk
melater.
17.Whenthe“Reviewyourtimeanddatesettings”windowisdisplayed,clickNext.
