Step 1. If your server is installed with 2U heat sinks, replace the 2U heat sinks with the 1U heat sinks that
came with the GPU thermal kit. For detailed instructions on how to replace the heat sink, see

Step 2. Install the large-size air baffle that came with the GPU thermal kit. For more information about the
air baffle, refer to “Important information for the air baffle” on page 5.

Step 3. Depending on the GPU type, do one of the following:
• For full-height full-length GPUs, if the GPU does not have a bracket installed on it, install the
screws to secure the GPU bracket
1 to the GPU. Then, install the GPU holder 2 to the GPU.
