Drive bay configurations and requirements
This topic describes the drive bay configurations supported by the server and the requirements for hardware
configurations.
Depending on models, the server supports:
• Up to twenty-four 2.5-inch or twelve 3.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe front drives
• Up to eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe or four 3.5-inch SAS/SATA/NVMe middle drives
• Up to eight 2.5-inch SAS/SATA or two 7mm SAS/SATA rear drives
• Up to two M.2 SATA/NVMe drives
