Replace RIP board. Go to “RIP board removal” on

• Standard printer with INA
Replace INA. If terror persists, replace RIP board. Go

hardware error 1
Indicates a communication problem between engine
controller board and duplex unit.
• Ensure that duplex cable is connected.
• If cable is connected and error persists, replace
duplex unit.
• If replacing duplex unit does not clear error,
replace engine controller board. Go to “Engine
controller board removal” on page 4-55.
