Flow of updating
Updating can be executed as follows.
For detail operation steps, follow the on-screen
instructions on the terminal.

Download and install the update le
• Depending on update type, downloading
an update le and installing will be
executed automatically.
• A notication or conrmation screen may
appear before downloading and installing
the update le. When a notication or
conrmation screen appears, proceed the
system update by following the indicated
procedure.
* A message indicating that
communication fee will be charged may
appear, but it will not be charged if sp-
mode or mopera is selected.

Restart
• As soon as update preparation is
completed, a notication or conrmation
screen appears.
• Tap "RESTART NOW" to restart the
terminal.

Notication of update completion
• When the update is complete, an update
completion screen appears on the
terminal.
• After the Android OS version upgrade,
check if there are updates of the
applications that you have installed
personally. Operations may become
unstable or function may not work
properly without updating.
Precautions
• Once updating is complete, restoring the
previous software is not possible.
• While updating, the private information
concerning the terminal (model, serial number,
etc.) is sent to the server of DOCOMO.
DOCOMO does not use the sent information
for purposes except software update.
• While the software is updating, each function
may not be available temporarily.
• When software update is performed, some
settings may be initialized. Make the settings
again.
• When PIN code is set, the PIN code entry
screen appears in the reboot step after
rewriting and you need to enter PIN code.
