The ON/OFF switch is used, for example, in connection with the carrying out of services. The
power to the lift is interrupted/turned on by activating the ON/OFF switch and emergency stop
(see section 11.1). When the power supply is again connected to the FlexStep (and the
emergency stop released), the controls are re-started (see section 11.2 regarding calibration
after an interruption of the power supply/emergency stop). Normally always ON so as not to
ruin the batteries.
WARNING! The ON/OFF switch is for the battery charger. It is not the main
switch. If it is set to OFF for a long period of time, this could drain and damage the
batteries. Where there is a lengthy interruption of the power supply, the emergency
stop should be activated in order to avoid the batteries becoming completely
discharged.
