5.8. Switching from right-hand to left-hand cutting
Risk of cuts and crushing injuries
The rotating saw blade or flange can catch hold of clothing or body parts and sever them.
Pull the plug.
All parts must have stopped moving before working on the machine may begin.
Procedure
To switch from right-hand to left-hand cutting, perform the following steps:
Activate the parking brake and disconnect the power supply
Loose the hexagonal screw (Pos. 1) and pull the blade guard up
Mount the blade guard flange cover (Pos. 3) on the opposite side
Mount the flange cover (Pos. 2) on the opposite side
Then, the saw blade can be installed. (see 5.7)
(pay attention to the rotational direction – down-cut!)
