3-10 Governor
1) Remove the fuel tank.
2) Loosen the hexagon flange nut (M6) of the pointless lag lock screw to move the governor arm
to fully open the throttle.
3) Press on the governor arm at the position where the throttle is fully open and rotate the
governor arm clockwise as far as it will go (to the position where governor is fully closed), then
tighten the nut.
4) Check whether governor support and throttle valve move freely.
5) Check and adjust the gasoline engine’s maximum no-load speed.
a. Start the gasoline engine and allow it to warm up for about 10 minutes.
b. If the gasoline engine’s maximum no-load speed is not as specified, adjust the cross recessed
pan head screw M5×35.
Gasoline engine’s maximum no-load speed 3,850 ± 150 rpm
Speed too high Adjust the adjusting screw counterclockwise
Speed too low Adjust the adjusting screw clockwise
