FITTING THE BEARING ON TO THE FRAME
Fitting the crankset on to the frame:sincetheZEDcranksetismonobloc,theleftcrankwillhaveto
bepassedthroughtheframeinordertotit,asshowningure10.Therightpedalcanbettedtothe
cranksetbeforeitisttedtotheframe,whichisnotthecasefortheleftpedal,whichwillhavetobetted
oncetheZEDcranksetiscorrectlyttedtotheframe.
•Therearenospecictoolsrequiredtotthecrankset,butitisstillrecommendedtorefertoyour
specialistLOOKretailertotorremovethecrankset.
•Beforeattachingthecranksettotheframe,checkthatthebearingsarecorrectlyattachedtothe
frame(seegures7and8).
•Beforeattachingthecranksettotheframe,checkthattherearenopartsmissingfromthewholeset
thatispre-ttedonthecrankset(seegures1and9).
Attention:
• Remove all dust and clean the bearing seats in the bottom bracket with the recommended
lubricant.
• Never wash your bicycle with a pressurized jet. High pressure water, even the water from a
hose pipe, can, despite the gaskets, enter into the bottom bracket and irremediably damage
the components and bearings in the ZED crankset. Wash your crankset when it is attached
to your bicycle. Delicately clean the carbon parts with a soft cloth, water and neutral soap.
• Do not leave the ZED crankset inside a car parked in the sun, nor near to the radiator or any
other source of heat.
Attaching and detaching the bearings in the frame: theZED3cranksetrequiresthe2bearingstobe
tteddirectlyintheframe.Forimprovedcomfort,theyarealsoglued.
To avoid damaging the bearings when attaching and/or detaching, it is strongly recommended to
usespecictools.LOOKhascreatedatoolforretailers.Itisthereforeessentialthatthesestepsare
performedbyaspecialistLOOKretailer.
