3-3. EZ-Shift (Automated Mechanical Transmission) (If fitted)
(1) EZ-Shift shuttle lever (EZ-Shift)
EZ-Shift shuttle lever can be shifted without using
clutch pedal.

EZ-Shift (Automated mechanical transmission) calls an advanced transmission that electronic
control systems are mixed to the conventional gear train and clutch linkage system to improve the
operational convenience. EZ-Shift shuttle lever can be shifted without using clutch pedal, and also
you can shift the main gear shift lever by using a main clutch control switch without pressing clutch
pedal. This system shall provide you much more convenience compared with conventional synchro-
shuttle system. Before using the EZ-Shift, read this manual carefully and comply with the instructions
as follows for safety.
lower the engine RPM first. And, lift up the EZ-
Shift shuttle lever, just push it forward or pull it
back as required without pressing the clutch
pedal.
-. If the driving speed is NOT below suitable
speed, the EZ-Shift system makes alarming beef
sound for safety.
-. If the driving speed is reduced below suitable
speed through braking or decelerating, the beef
does not sound, and the forward/reverse gear is
engaged automatically.
-. When shifting the EZ-Shuttle lever on a slope,
you reduce the engine speed and HAVE TO
PRESS THE BRAKE PEDAL to reduce the
driving speed before shifting the lever.
It is not necessary to stop the tractor completely
before shifting the EZ-Shift shuttle lever.

If the EZ-Shift shuttle lever is NOT in neutral
position, the engine does not start. Before starting
engine, place the EZ-Shift shuttle lever in neutral
position.
When turning on the key switch, an indicator
showing the position of the EZ-Shift shuttle lever
shall be ON as shown in the right figure.
► To start the engine, you have to place the shuttle lever in neutral position and place
the PTO switch in OFF position, and depress the clutch pedal fully.
► Before operating the shuttle lever, you have to sit correctly in the driver’s seat.
► Before changing the direction of the tractor by using the shuttle lever, be sure to
check the safety condition of your directions, especially in reverse.
