20 X_Home Sensor Fail
• No response from X-Home sensor
1. Check if the sliders are blocked. Check if X-axis can move smoothly. Clean sliders and rails.
2. Check if the sensor is functioning properly.
3. Check sensor block plates position.
4. Check if the motor is functioning properly.
5. Check PLC X10 terminal – make sure the cable(CBL-0032) is not loose.
6. Check motor connection to power (M001), PCB (S001) and Encoder (M002).
*Error 20 can be triggered in case of misuse and rail/slider rusting. To clean the rust follow the
directions below:
- Use large amount of water and grease on the rails and in the sliders (make sure grease goes inside),
clean them. If the axis is stuck you can push it to move it, but be careful do not push or shake too hard
- it may mess the calibration up.
We suggest to use a soft cloth and a lot of water and grease.
To clean the bearings use grease gun to inject the grease inside the slider.
Make sure the cables and connectors are not getting wet.
If there are rusty stains on the rails that don't go out, they can be cleaned with sanding paper, washed
and greased.
- Run X- motor test to lubricate the bearings inside. If there is still rust on the rails repeat until they are
clean and lubricate them.
After cleaning the rust, keep an eye on the machine. It will get stuck again if it's not running for a long
time. Run motor test daily at the end of operation to make sure rust is not accumulating. It is probable
that X-axis movement won't be as smooth as it was before and rails might make some noise.
If rust in the bearings cannot be cleaned the and X-axis is still immobilized, rails and sliders will have to
be replaced. This is level 3 maintenance so the machine will have to be sent to RBC Bioscience Corp.
Taiwan.
