10 Message on Screen: the door is opened during the run
• The door is opened.
1. Close the door: It has to be pushed down to lock. It slides up and down, but it does not lock
automatically. It is done for safety reasons, so make sure the door is locked before they start a run. A
click sound will indicate that the door closed.
11 Wrong elution volume/Magnetic beads in the final eluate
• Wrong pretreatment, error in the code;
• Sample overloading.
1. Reduce DNA concentration and run the code again.
2. Follow the protocol provided by RBC kits manual precisely.
3. Take a picture of the cartridge after the run is finished and send to us.
12 UV is ON at all times
• System bug.
1. Restart the instrument;
2. Enable RD mode, go to IO and manually switch UL light off.
13 Tips pick up tubes
• Instrument calibration is off.
1. Check if piston tips are centered with the wells of the T-rack.
2. Calibrate Y-axis and/or X-axis.
14 HMI shows RBC logo, but does not load further
1. Check HMI connections to the screen.
2. Check HMI connections to the PCB (cables: OPTIC, HMI, PLC CBL-C006, CBL-C002, CBL-C001
PLC232, PLC485).
3. Check if PCB works: 4 LEDS (1 red and 3 green) should be on. If they are off check if any of the
cables ACin, ACout, DC24Vin dropped out. If all the connections are good but the LEDS are still not
lightning check fuse F3. If the fuse is burnt PCB needs to be replaced.
15 NOTE: After replacing PLC, always update all: HMI, PLC and program and recalibrate the instrument –
rewrite values of X, Y and V and Speed Default into a new PLC.
16 NOTE: When updating software version, always update all: HMI, PLC and Program to make sure all
the programs are compatible! There is no specific order for the update.
