Clean the appliance following the instruc-
tions given in Chapter " INSTRUCTIONS
FOR CLEANING".
Do not store ammable materials in close
proximity to the appliance. FIRE HAZARD.
Do not obstruct any air vents or drains pre-
sent on the appliance.
Do not tamper with appliance components.
The use of personal safety equipment is
recommended - risk of very hot food being
scattered.
During appliance operation, the oor sur-
rounding the appliance may become slip-
pery: exercise caution and take all suitable
measures to prevent falls.
Take care when handling accessories (e.g.
pans) and movable parts of the appliance
to use the correct posture.
This type of appliance is intended for
commercial applications: kitchens of re-
staurants, canteens, hospitals, and shops
such as bakeries, butchers and similar.
It is however not intended for continuous
mass food production.
WARNING: Opening the drain valve will
cause the hot tank content to escape.
USING THE GAS PASTA COOKER
REMINDERS FOR USE
The appliance is designed for boiling pasta, rice, vegetables
and similar foodstu󰀨s in water.
Do not light the pilot burner or leave it on when there is no
water in the well.
The appliance is tted with a pressure switch which stops
the ow of gas to the pilot burner and, consequently, heating
in the event the water level in the well falls below the safety
level ( approx. 12 cm ). To restore the pilot burner in the event
the pressure switch is tripped, top up the water level to the
minimum mark visible on the rear wall of the well.
While the pasta cooker is on, the water level must be main-
tained level with or above the minimum level indicated on the
rear wall of the well.
Use very ne grained salt, adding it to the tank when the wa-
ter is boiling. Do not use coarse-grained rock salt in the tank.
At the end of each day, clean the well thoroughly in order to
prevent the formation of corrosive deposits.
FILLING AND EMPTYING THE WELL
Filling
Close the well drain tap (knob on bottom of front panel).
Open the water supply tap (knob on control panel) and ll the
well to the reference mark.
Emptying
Open the well drain tap (knob on bottom of front panel).
ATTENTION! Opening the drain tap can result in pilot light
extinction.
BURNER IGNITION AND EXTINCTION
The gas tap control knob has the following positions:
O󰀨
Pilot ignition
Minimum ame
Maximum ame
Pilot ignition
Press and turn the knob to position " ".
Press the knob down fully and light the pilot using the piezo-
electric igniter.
Hold the knob down for about 20 seconds before releasing it.
If the pilot ame goes out, repeat the operation.
Main burner ignition
Turn the knob from position " " to " ".
Next, depending on cooking requirements, turn the knob to any
position between " " and " ".
Switching o󰀨
To switch the main burner o󰀨, turn the knob to position " ".
To switch o󰀨 the pilot ame, press and turn the knob to position
" ".
AT THE END OF SERVICE
Switch the burners o󰀨.
Empty the well completely.
