Instrument cluster
Instrument cluster

ment cluster, see "At a glance"
( page 24).
The instrument cluster is activated when
you:
open a door
switch on ignition ( page 54)
press reset button J ( page 25) in
the instrument cluster
switch on the exterior lamps
If you open a door or press reset
button J without turning on the igni-
tion or the light, the multifunction dis-
play is only illuminated for
approximately 30 seconds.
You can change the instrument cluster
settings in the Instrument cluster sub-
menu of the control system
(
page 175).
Use the knob for instrument cluster illu-
mination ( page 25) to adjust the illu-
mination brightness for the instrument
cluster.
Press the knob for instrument cluster
illumination.
The knob will pop out.
To brighten illumination
Turn the knob clockwise.
The instrument cluster illumination
will brighten.
To dim illumination
Turn the knob in the instrument clus-
ter counterclockwise.
The instrument cluster illumination
will dim.
Warning! G
No messages will be displayed if either the
instrument cluster or the multifunction dis-
play is inoperative.

The instrument cluster illumination is
dimmed or brightened automatically
to suit ambient light conditions.
The instrument cluster illumination
will also be adjusted automatically
when you switch on the vehicle’s ex-
terior lamps.
