3.10 Connecting the Console Terminal
A console cable is provided with the product package to connect the SDM-9XXX Series
unit to the console terminal.
• For the SDM-9120/9220/9230 unit, this is a standard TIA-232 (V.24) straight-
through cable with DB-9 female connectors at both ends (Ordering part number:
502-0811-006).
• For the SDM-9140 unit, this is a USB to RJ-45M console cable (Ordering part
number: CBLH-CONS-USB).
This cable connects into a free USB port and is supported on computers running
Windows (7/8).
NOTE: Some driver installation may be needed and may require Internet access.
